Grief or depression?
Grief and depression are expressed in many forms: a dirty house, excessive crying, sleeping all day, lack of motivation, no enthusiasm, etc. A person may have any or all of these and appear absolutely normal. A person may not even know they’re depressed. There is a difference between being depressed and being in a depressed state, like getting caught with your hand in the cookie jar. You may be depressed or sad that you got caught, but this is not depression.
