Dodge City Education Center graduates 24

Students from the Dodge City Education Center were handed their diplomas on Sunday, May 22 at the Dodge City High School auditorium. According to Pam Gleason with the Dodge City Education Center, 14 of the 24 graduates received their diplomas from Dodge City USD 443 superintendent Fred Dierksen and Dodge City High School principal Martha Mendoza.

May 27 at 7:30 p.m. Racing action continues at Dodge City Raceway Park with the Short Track Series on Friday, May 27. Pit gates open at 3 p.m., hot laps begin at 7 p.m., and racing starts at 7:30 p.m.

Long Branch Lagoon at Wright Park

Friday, May 27 from 5 to 7 p.m. Season passes will be available for purchase and season pass holders will be able to take the first swim of the season at the water park.

DCHS Lady Demon wins Riederer Family Scholarship

A student athlete bound for Barton County Community College won a scholarship in the name of a 1973 graduate of Dodge City High School. Karina Estrada won the 2022 Riederer Family Scholarship in the amount of $5,000, based on her many athletic, scholastic and pro-community efforts, according to a press release from the Dodge City High School Department of Athletics.

2022 CHAD House a successful venture

For eight years this hands-on partnership between Dodge City Community College and the Community Housing Association of Dodge City (CHAD) students have built houses from the ground up and learned all facets of building construction.

Point Guard University basketball camp comes to Dodge City

Point Guard University is a basketball training and camps circuit that train athletes out of South Bend, Ind., all year and tours the United States each summer. Kyle OConnor founded the camp in 2017, which has grown to support staff in three states.
