City announces changes to recycling center hours

A change will be coming to the Jane Longmeyer Recycling Center in Dodge City as city officials announced changes to the hours of operation as well as the elimination of the after-hours drop off bins. According to the city, the recycling center hours will change on May 31 to 8 a.m.

Alberta graduated from Ford High School in Ford, KS on May 24,1950, and entered St Anthony Hospital School of Nursing in Dodge City, KS with a full scholarship.

It was when he learned to build relationships with people in Dodge City that Marcus Gonzales pivoted from a job as a machinist to a teaching career in USD 443. The recent graduate from Newman University’s accelerated pathway to teaching program shared his story with the Dodge City Globe from inside his Comanche Middle School science classroom during Career Day May 18.
