Trips to Discover, an online travel discovery platform, wants to inspire people to travel more by helping them discover their next travel destination, according to a press release from Justin Wilson, marketing coordinator for the city of Dodge City.

Celebrating Easter with Family

April has brought us a week of cooler temperatures, with the ground covered with snow one morning. It didn’t last long, and the green grass is again showing. The rhubarb and tea plants are growing as well as all the early spring flowers. We look forward to warmer weather coming to stay for the summer months ahead.

BHS Softball: Lady Aces swept Chaparral

The Lady Aces swept Chaparral in a two-game series Tuesday night. In the first game, the Lady Aces featured a strong performance by Halie Feikert tallying four hits and leading the Lady Aces to a 16-7 win over Chaparral.

DCHS Softball: Lady Demons drops 2 to TMP

Last Friday the Lady Demons took part in a swimming meet in Salina. The Lady Demons took home a 5th place finish against some tough competition. The Lady Demons brought home some medals with a 2nd place finish in the 500 freestyle by Ashlyn Armstrong. The Lady Demons took home a 2nd place in the 400 free relay by the team of Eva Friess, Ashlyn Armstrong, Paige Mink and Faith Wodziak.

SHS softball: Little River swept Spearville

Tuesday’s game against Little River was a heartbreaker for the Lancers, as they lost the lead late in a 9-6 defeat in game one and lost 17-2 in game two. In the first game, Little River trailed 5-4 in the bottom of the fifth inning when Dalton Mantz doubled on the first pitch at bat, scoring two runs.
