Gilbert John Krier, 95, of Ashland, Kansas passed from this life on July 6, 2022. He was born July 3, 1927, in Olpe, Kansas. Gilbert was a twin and one of seven boys born to Lawrence and Josephine (Fladung) Krier.

Dodge City USD 443 BOE does away with enrollment fees for all

At its July 11 meeting the Dodge City USD 443 Board of Education voted to eliminate the cost of enrollment for all students. Board President Lisa Killion, Vice President Tammie West and board members Ryan Ausmus, James Lewis-Gonzales, Traci Rankin and Jeff Hiers were present at the meeting.
